I am at a point in my life in which I am trying to live a healthier lifestyle. I have always strived to be that way most of my adult life, but I have decided to take it a step further. I am JUICING!!! I am also doing the Jillian Michael 30 Day Shred, oh and that infamous Instagram 30 day squat challenge. I know what you are thinking... Is she insane???!! No, I am not, I just would like to set an example for my children on how we should try to take care of the temple we call our body. My husband works out about 4-5 days a week in a gym. I, on the other hand, prefer to workout in the privacy of my home; I get the job done and see results quicker.. This is what works for me.
Being a healthcare professional, I am well aware that genetics play a role in our well being, and environmental factors BUT our free will plays a major role also. So, what we eat, how active we are and what we do to care for our bodies help us along the way in life.
I went shopping the other day, and I grabbed a bag of kale, frozen pineapples and berries and some almond milk. Threw those items in the blender and I was quite surprised with what I got. A nice smoothie that is full of vitamins!! Try it, you too may be surprised. Till next time! xoxo
