What's For Dinner????

You're probably saying to yourself.."I thought this was a fashion blog??!"
Well, did you read the name of the blog? Let me explain it to you.. Yes, I like fashion. Correction, I LOVE FASHION! And I am frugal,NOT cheap! So what does dinner have to do with being frugal AND fashionable? It has everything to do with it... Its all relative if you ask me.
I like to cook meals that are first and foremost healthy, economical, and timesaving. Thus, I am frugal with my time and money. And if I am saving money, then guess what?! There is more money left for me to spend with fashion AND vice versa!! It makes total sense! (at least in my brain it does).
I am a YouTube Junkie and I got this recipe from TheSocialiteLife, check her out and follow her on Twitter @SocialiteSande. The woman has an awesome sense of style and is gorgeous! She posted this recipe that she got from Pinterest and I got it from her and made it my own.
That being said, on to the recipe...
Set & Forget Chicken
4 -6 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
Minute Rice
Cream of Chicken OR Cream of Mushroom Soup (1-2 cans or mix-n-match!)
Packet of Onion Soup mix
Finely Crushed Bread Crumbs (optional)
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Black Pepper
Multi Colored Mini red, yellow, orange peppers(optional, I just like color in my food)
Take chicken and season with pepper, garlic, and onion powders. Set to side.
Take rice and pour serving preference in mixing bowl. Add amount of water specified for serving amount. Add in cream soup or soups, 1 can of water and mix all together.
Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray and pour in rice mixture.
Layer chicken breasts on top of rice. Top chicken with onion soup mix or bread crumbs. Or both! The choice is yours, make it your own. Garnish with the peppers, seal tight with aluminum foil.
Pop in oven set at 385° for 1-2 hours, and voila`! Your meal is done. Add some veggies and its a wrap..
My hubby liked so much, he told me to put this into dinner rotation!
The thing about this recipe, is you can tweak it the way you want to suit your needs.
Till next time.... Smooches!!
